Cold Aisle Containment system

Cold Aisle Containment system

The cold aisle containment system is carried out independently with the appropriate ceiling elements, sliding doors and components to rise above the system and telecommunication closets. All the elements of the cold aisle containment system are made of corrosion-protected sheet steel and are powder coated with paint in the RAL scale according to the specifications of the client. The ceiling elements and doors in the cold zone have security glass built in, to provide visibility and illumination.

The cold aisle containment system is carried out by the attachment of supporting and lifting elements to the basic structure of the system and telecommunication closets. Ceiling elements are raised to 12-15 cm above the system and telecommunication closets. All elements are constructed and designed to fit tightly to each other and the space between the elements is additionally sealed using sealing elements.

The cold aisle containment system is made of the following basic elements:

  • Supporting components for raising the ceiling elements above the system cabinets. They provide the possibility of mounting on any cabinets, regardless of its dimensions or manufacturer. They are constructed and manufactured for each type of system and telecommunication cabinet separately. They attach the base cabinet through system fasteners or screws. They raise the ceiling elements to approximately 12 to 15 cm above the level of the system and telecommunication closet. The width of the elements is adapted to the width of the system cabinet.
  • Ceiling elements, which seal the cold zone from the upper side, are adapted in width to the width of the individual telecommunication or system closet, and in length to the width of the passage between system and telecommunication closets. Generally, it has a built-in security window, customized to the dimensions of the panel. Ceiling panels are attached to the supporting elements and are easy to be installed or removed.
  • Sliding doors, which allow access to the cold zone, are implemented in full width of the passage of cold zones. The bright passage measures at least 1200x2050 mm (WxH) with the open door. The sliding doors are made up of two wings that open with a spacing. Each wing has a built-in security window for providing control in cold zone, with dimensions adapted to the dimensions of the door wing.
  • Obstruction of the rear wall is carried out to prevent leakage of cold air from the cold zone. The obstruction is carried out along the full length to the existing wall of the system space.
